Versatile and Effective Magnetic Separation
MAGTRAPs are engineered to work with virtually all pumped products, efficiently capturing ferrous debris, including work-hardened 304 and 316 stainless steel, nickel, and carbide particles that can appear in process lines. Available in sizes ranging from 0.5″ to 6″, these separators from Harco adapt to various processing applications.
Two MAGTRAP Styles for Optimal Performance
MAGTRAPs come in two configurations to meet different processing needs:
- Tube Magnet Models (130, 135, 135EC, 170, and Micro MAGTRAP) – Ideal for liquids, purees, and products with small solid inclusions (less than 0.5″ in size).
- Flat Plate Magnet Models (115, 120, and 125) – Designed for products containing fragile solids, larger chunks, or fibrous materials such as fruit preserves, cooked meat, and cottage cheese.
Flexible Installation Options
MAGTRAPs are compatible with various line connectors, and select models (125 and 135) can accommodate different inlet and outlet sizes. They can be mounted in vertical, horizontal, or sloped lines without compromising magnetic efficiency. For complete drainage in Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems, vertical installation is recommended.
