Digital electro-pneumatic positioner for integrated mounting on process control valves
Harco provides the Bürkert Type 8691 On/Off Control Head, ideal for decentralized automation of ELEMENT Type 21xx pneumatic process valves. Featuring a contact-free analogue sensor element for valve position registration, it automatically recognizes and saves the valve end position using the Teach function during startup. Furthermore, the integrated pilot valve manages single or double-acting actuators, with optional communication interfaces such as AS-Interface, IO-Link, or büS (based on CANopen).
Designed to route control air internally, the Bürkert Type 8691 eliminates the need for external tubing. Moreover, the control head provides electrical position feedback and uses bright LEDs to display device status directly on the unit, ensuring visibility even in challenging ambiant conditions.
Additionally, with an easy-to-clean housing, the Bürkert Type 8691 offers proven IP protection and chemically resistant materials, making it suitable for hygienic processing in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Focused wash-down applications, its IP protection is enhanced by positive pressure inside the control head. Finally, when combined with Bürkert ELEMENT actuators, the pneumatic actuating system enables spring chamber aeration to prevent contamination of the actuator chamber from the surrounding environment.
