Flow Control: Standard vs. Reverse-Acting Valves
Functionally, the standard Alfa Laval Unique SSV Flo-Diversion Valve closes with the flow. While the Reverse-Acting Unique SSV Flo-Diversion Valve closes against the flow. This distinction plays a key role in their performance in different HTST applications.
Designed to Prevent Hydraulic Shock and Ensure Compliance
Significantly, the Alfa Laval Unique SSV Reverse-Acting Flo-Diversion Valve features a design that prevents hydraulic shock, which could otherwise damage the valve stem, seat, and other essential components of your process system. Furthermore, both valves use product-wetted metal parts made from durable 316L stainless steel. In addition, all elastomer and seat materials are fully FDA and 3A compliant. Alfa Laval’s Unique SSV Flo-Diversion Valves fully satisfy all requirements outlined by PMO and 3A sanitary regulations.
Built on the Proven Alfa Laval SSV Platform
Importantly, the valve designs comply with all current sanitary and regulatory standards. Based on Alfa Laval’s proven SSV series, these valves include the same advanced design benefits found in the original SSV single seat valves. They come in a wide range of sizes, from 1-1/2” to 4” tube OD.
Precision-Guided Valve Stems and Maintainable Actuators
In the standard valve, the same guided stem design as the SSV seat valve ensures proper alignment during operation. On the other hand, the reverse-acting valve features a stem guided at both the top and bottom for added stability and control. Furthermore, both valve styles come with a standard actuator designed for full maintainability, supporting long-term use and reliability.
Smart Control with ThinkTop® V50 Digital Feedback
Each valve comes equipped with the ThinkTop V50® Digital 24 VDC indication control top. The ThinkTop V50® offers a sensor bandwidth of 1.4 mm (0.057”) with accuracy up to 0.004”, delivering exceptional precision. To ensure quick and efficient actuation, all valves come with quick air exhausts. Lastly, the ThinkTop V50® features an IP67 (NEMA 4X) protection rating, ensuring dependable performance even in challenging environments.
